HOSPICE
TEAM Our team of professionals
and volunteers is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide help and
care on an on-call basis.
"The mission of
ArkansasValley Hospice is to support people in the final
phases
of life, comfort the
grieving, and educate the community about end of life care."
COMFORT
CARE The primary emphasis of the
hospice program is home care, and the hospice philosophy focuses on maintaining
and enhancing the quality of life, making it possible for the terminally ill
patient to remain at home. Hospice is not designed to replace the involvement of
families, but to assist them and offer whatever help is needed in the home from
our nurses, volunteers and other professionals. Hospice will provide care to you
where ever you live-in your home, a nursing home or in an assisted living
facility.
ADMISSIONS Admissions to the Arkansas
Valley Hospice are based on the following:

the illness is focus of treatment chosen by the patient, instead of aggressive
or experimental treatment to cure the disease.
The patient has a
physician that is willing to work with hospice in providing end-of-life
care.
The patient has a
physician management of care and participates with hospice in end-of-life
