Obituary

A celebration of life for longtime former Lamar, Colorado resident currently of Lubbock, Texas Zack Rankin will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, June 09, 2025 at the Lamar Christian Church. Interment will follow at the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar, Colorado.

Per the family’s request there will be no viewing.

Zack was born on April 12, 2006 at Lamar, Colorado to Scott and Roxie (Woolley) Rankin and passed away on June 01, 2025 unexpectedly at the University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas at the age of 19.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Gerald and Linda Rankin.

Zack is survived by his parents Scott and Roxie Rankin, siblings Zane Rankin, Zerek Rankin and Imarie Rankin all of Lamar, CO and maternal grandparents Jerry and Lorraine Woolley of Lamar, CO. He is also survived by his uncle Rex (Staci) Woolley, aunt Kristyn Woolley, aunt Tracy (Lyle) Woods, aunt Tonya (Brian) Edwards, uncle Wayne (Carrie) Holmes and uncle Hale (Tammy) Rankin as well as numerous cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Zack Rankin Memorial Fund in care of the Peacock Funeral Home Office.
