La Junta Senior Golf League Results: June 10, 2025

On Tuesday, June 10, La Junta Senior Golf had a large turnout with 51 participants forming 9 teams of five players and 1 team of six. The theme was “Make a Putt to Improve Your Team Score.” We played a scramble format and there were flags for a bonus putt on each hole. Each successful putt allowed teams to subtract a stroke from their score. A total of 31 putts were made. There was also a challenge chip on hole #4, but no one succeeded.

On June 24 (in two weeks) the time for the senior’s golf will change.  We will start play at 9:00 a.m. on that date.  It was also announced that whenever we do have greater than 50 players, we will recognize the top four teams.

1st Place, Score of 23

2nd Place, Score of 24

This team made seven bonus putts.

This team also won “straightest drive” contest on hole #1.

3rd Place, Score of 25

Next Tuesday (June 17) the league will meet again and play a regular scramble. Registration will be 9:15 to 9:30 a.m. Teams are picked at 9:45 and no players can be added after that.  Call 719-469-0691 if you are going to be late for registration but will be in time to tee off.  Play will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m.
