Corazon Gallery invites all regional artists to submit artwork for the Found Objects show. You may be asking yourself "what is a found object?" Here's an answer (thanks wiki!) "a natural or man-made object that is discovered or acquired by an artist and incorporated into a work of art, often without significant alteration. These objects, which are not typically considered art materials, are elevated to an artistic context, sometimes prompting reflection on their original purpose or function." If you know your art history, you'll remember that found objects were very popular in Modernism, about 1oo years ago.
Submission deadline (bring your pieces in any of these three days): June 30th, July 1st, July 2nd 11-4 pm
Opening Reception: Friday, July 4th, 5 pm - 8 pm
All artwork must be for sale and ready to be displayed. Prices are set by the artist. All sales are on a 70-30% commission where the gallery receives 30%. Entry fee: $15 for one, $25 for two, and 3 for $30. Artwork size limit 36x36. Cash prizes awarded.
