Obituary

Henry John Reyes passed away on September 14, 2025, at his home in Ordway. Henry was born on March 13, 1951 to Victor Reyes and Fidelia Torres in San Luis, Colorado. Henry attended school in Crowley County and graduated in 1970. He attended Otero Junior College for a short time. Henry had various occupations during his career. He was a bus driver for Head Start and finished his career as a custodian for Ward Middle School. Henry was a Charger fan and could be seen cheering on his team. Henry was well-known in the community.

Henry is survived by his sisters Dolores Trujillo (Patrick), Marcella Mieczkowski (Gary), Rosie Contreras and Nellie García (Primitivo). Henry is survived by several nieces and nephews including Scott, Hilary, Lisa, Matthew, Michael and Marty. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Guadalupe, Victor, Jr. David and Orley; sisters, Mary Ramirez, Reina Flores, Polly Aranda and Ruth Pacheco.

In the words of a devoted church elder, "Henry was a quiet and faithful servant of God."
