Investigative Update on Report of Threats at Rocky Ford School

Rocky Ford, Colo. - October 2nd, 2025 - The Rocky Ford Police Department takes threats to our community seriously. To ensure we had sufficient resources and expertise, we reached out to the Colorado Bureau of Investigations (CBI) for assistance.

Based on investigative efforts, it has been determined there is no evidence of a credible threat to the school.

Agents from CBI and Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) came to Rocky Ford, helped provide extra security at the school and thoroughly investigated the allegations of a threat to the school.

This investigation is still on-going and if circumstances change, additional information will be sent out.

The Rocky Ford Police Department is appreciative of all of the efforts of the CBI, ATF, Colorado State Patrol, Otero County Sheriff's Office and Rocky Ford School District in working together to keep Rocky Ford safe.
