CHEYENNE COUNTY IS BEYOND READY TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL 4-H WEEK

(Cheyenne Wells, Colo.) Cheyenne County is joining others throughout the nation in celebrating National 4-H week from October 5-11. 4-H is the largest youth development organization in America with nearly 6 million members nationwide! In the 2024-2025 4-H year, Cheyenne County had 87 club members and competed at the Colorado State Fair with 32 projects! 4-H helps youth grow in leadership skills, be intentional in community service opportunities, and encourages real-life problem-solving skills.

Cheyenne County 4-H’ers have received recognition from the County Commissioners to observe 4-H week and gained permission to fly the 4-H flag at the courthouse. Desk/Locker signs are available at the Cheyenne County Extension Office and current members are encouraged to wear 4-H green on Monday, October 5, Wednesday October 7, and Friday, October 9 to show our 4-H pride. Let’s celebrate National 4-H week, encourage others to come and learn what 4-H has to offer, and live out our 4-H motto To Make the Best Better!
