Obituary

Jonathan Isaac Seufer, 46, of Holly, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2026. He was born November 10, 1979, in Lamar, Colorado to Donald and Suzanne (Davidson) Seufer.

Jonathan was raised on his family’s farm and ranch in Holly, where he developed a lifelong love for agriculture and ranching. He graduated from Holly High School in 1998, and went on to attend Northeastern Junior College, earning an associate’s degree in Agricultural Business.

After college, he returned to Holly and began a partnership with his brother, Jerome Seufer, raising cattle—work that was not only his livelihood but also his pride. Jonathan knew his cow herd inside and out and took great pride in the ranching way of life.

Jonathan married his wife Lacy in June 2007. Together they built a beautiful life and raised two children, Heston Isaac Seufer (born April 11, 2008) and Briley Jean Seufer (born October 24, 2009). His children were his greatest joy. Jonathan supported them wholeheartedly in all they pursued, including rodeo, 4-H, basketball, and hunting.

Jonathan never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, unforgettable laugh, and kindhearted nature. He also enjoyed watching football and basketball and spending time with family and friends.

Jonathan is survived by his wife, Lacy Seufer; their children, Heston and Briley Seufer; his parents, Donald and Suzanne Seufer; his brother, Jerome Seufer, and wife Miria, and their daughter Taelyn, of Holly, Colorado; his sister, Aimee Flynn, and husband Collin, and their children Donavan and Dillon, of Van Alstyne, Texas; his sister, Monica Seufer, and partner Mike Hill, of Happy, Texas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jewell and Dorothy Seufer and Ferrill and Francis Davidson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holly Fire and Ambulance in care of Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 950, Lamar, Colorado 81052.
