November 10, 1953 — February 8, 2026

A Mass of Christian burial for longtime Bristol, Colorado resident, Sara Maldonado-Casas will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Father Patrick Aina as celebrant. A rosary service will be held prior to the Mass at 9:30AM at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Allan Medina reciting. A rite of committal will follow at the Holly Cemetery in Holly, Colorado.

 

Obituary

Sara was born on November 10, 1953 at Urireo, Guanajuato, Mexico to Francisco and Soledad (Pena) Casas and passed away on February 8, 2026 at her home in Bristol, Colorado with her family by her side at the age of 72.

She is preceded in death by her husband Angel Maldonado, her parents, grandson, Marcus Camacho and siblings Francisco Casas, Jr., Roberto Casas and Carmen Casas.

Sara is survived by her children Lupe Richardson of Pueblo, CO, Maria Camacho of Bristol, CO, Jose Maldonado of Bristol, CO, Gloria Pacheco of Pueblo, CO, Angel (Sandra) Maldonado of Granada, CO, Soledad (Fermin) Cazares of Nebraska, Cecilia (Rodrigo) Perez of Holly, CO, grandchildren Sabrina (Jesse) Sigala, Kolleen (Eddie Villela) Camacho, Yoanna (Abraham Rosales) Camacho, Dimitri Camacho, Alyssa Maldonado, Alexis Maldonado, Joseph Maldonado, Shaundie Pacheco, Shilo Pacheco, Haven (Chris Luna) Quintana, Daunte (Rachel) Maldonado, Reuben (Sulma) Maldonado, Jimmy Maldonado, Adam Maldonado, Kamila Maldonado, Kitana Cazares, Mileena Cazares, Yenexis Cazares, Edulisa (Jomar) Duarte-Krienke, Ryanna Perez, Roselene Perez and Rodrigo M. Perez. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, her siblings Salvador Casas of Chicago, IL, Antonio (Alicia) Casas of Leoti, KS, Jose Luis Casas of Ft. Worth, TX, Pedro Casas and Raul (Dominga) Casas both of Chicago, IL, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sara Maldonado-Casas Memorial Fund in care of the Peacock Funeral Home office.
