Firefighters Battle Growing Schwachheim Fire After Overnight Expansion in Southern Colorado

UPDATE:  The fire is called Schwachheim Fire it has jumped to 150 acres overnight with no containment.

On April 12th Hoehne Fire Protection District  was called into action for a fire at Lake Dorothy in the Colorado side. Hoehne responded with the help from Raton Fire Department get eyes on it. Crews worked until dark, called it a night due to the terrain. Crews are there again this morning working to get the fire under containment.

As of the last update that was reported it is 30 acres with no containment. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
