3rd Annual OCHD Ride for Recovery Set for May 9, 2026 in La Junta to Raise Awareness on Substance Use Disorder


Description: Join the free Ride for Recovery on May 9, 2026 in La Junta City Park. Open to all vehicles and ages, this community event raises awareness and supports individuals affected by substance use disorder.

The 3rd Annual OCHD Ride for Recovery will be taking place on Saturday, May 09, 2026. 

This is a community wide, all ages, all vehicle (2, 3, 4 wheel) welcome event designed to raise awareness and reduce stigma around substance use disorder.

We will leave from and return to the La Junta City Park, with stops in Cheraw, Fort Lyon and John Martin Reservoir.

Registration will begin at 8:00AM with Kickstands up at 9:00AM.  Bikes and cars will line up on Colorado Ave. between 10th and 12th Street prior to the event.

Participation is completely free, although contributions are welcome.  There will also be (optional) poker hands that can be purchased at the beginning of the ride for anyone wishing to participate; 50% of the pot will go to the winning hand, with the other 50% going to benefit individuals affected by substance use disorder.
