Obituary

A graveside celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Gail Casebolt will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, June 30, 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery in La Junta, Colorado with Ian Blacker officiating.

Gail was born on December 11, 1941 at La Junta, Colorado to John Ben and Vivian Delene (Wikle) Funk and passed away on June 19, 2025 at the Memorial Central Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her family by her side at the age of 83.

She is preceded in death by her husband John Casebolt, infant daughter Georgia Casebolt, son James “Jim” Casebolt, her parents, brother Guy Funk and brother-in-law Gary Yocam.

Gail is survived by her daughters Janet (Ray) Pearcey of Grand Junction, CO and Carol (Monty) Willis of Magnolia, AR, daughter-in-law Geri Casebolt of Lamar, CO, grandchildren Keith (Mel) Pearcey, Desi (Tim) Torres, Charles Lynch, Sydney Casebolt and Shelby Casebolt. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Lucas and Macie Pearcey, sister Jennie Yocam as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gail Casebolt Memorial Fund in care of the Peacock Funeral Home office.
