Multi-County Police Chase Ends Safely in Bent County After Stop Sticks Halt Suspect

On the evening of August 6, the Bent County Sheriff’s Office helped end a pursuit that began in Prowers County.

The chase concluded near Highway 50 and County Road 15 after deputies deployed three successful sets of stop sticks.

A Bent County patrol vehicle was damaged while forcibly stopping the suspect’s vehicle.

The suspect was taken into custody without injury. We thank all responding agencies for their teamwork in resolving this safely.
