Peaceful Resolution to La Junta Belleview Ave Incident: No Injuries, One Arrest
The La Junta Police Reported that an incident on Belleview Ave. was ended peacefully with no injuries on August 10, 2025.
La Junta Police Officers responded to a call at approximately 5pm in the 1400 Block of Belleview Ave.
A shelter in place alert was sent to residents in the area through the Code Red Alert System. Currently, all alerts are clear and there is no risk to Public Safety.
After approval of a warrant for entry, officers from multiple departments worked jointly to safely de-escalate the situation.
One male party was arrested and found to have an additional warrant out of El Paso County.
LJPD would like to thank the Colorado State Patrol, the Otero County Sheriff's Office and the Rocky Ford Police Department for their assistance in ending this situation peacefully.
All Parties Considered Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law.
