George Creston Cramer
Obituary
George Creston Cramer was born to (George) Creston and Eula Mae (Fitzgerald) Cramer on April 22, 1933 in Goodland Kansas. He passed from this life October 20, 2025 in Burlington Colorado. In June of 1954 he married his high school sweetheart, Ramona Campbell. George and his bride spent their life in Kanorado, Kansas until moving to Grace Manor Care Center in Burlington Colorado.
He was a hardworking man whose hands told the story of a lifetime spent doing the things he loved most. He had a gift for creating and fixing just about anything. Whether it was welding in his shop, building something from wood, or farming, he never stopped working. His garden was his pride and joy, overflowing each year with fruits and vegetables which he shared with family, friends, and neighbors. George enjoyed his garden so much that he became a member of the Kansas State master gardener program. He loved to share his knowledge of gardening with everyone he could.
One of his greatest joys were his grandchildren. He created memories with them by taking them on many camping adventures and hosting ding-dong races in his backyard. Everyone still laughs about the time he fell into the water while cutting cattails so his grandkids could take them home. Of his many titles, the one that brought him so much pride and joy was “Grampy.” Hearing his grandkids call him that always brought the biggest smile to his face. More than anything, he loved his family and taught them to work hard, be kind, and always lend a hand when you can.
Preceding him in death are his parents, Creston and Eula, his sister, Elizabeth Pearl Nelson and her husband Verne, one daughter Peggy Lee Barnes, his son, Brad Lane Cramer. Surviving family include his wife of 71 years Ramona; daughters Cindy Townsend (Larry) Weskan Ks; and Candy Cox (Billie) also of Weskan Ks. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren.
A funeral service is being held on October 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. (MDT) at Kanorado Methodist Church in Kanorado, KS with burial to follow at the Kanorado Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made in George's name to Grace Manor Care Center. Brown Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.
