Obituary

Phyllis Ann Anderson of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest in her home October 20, 2025.

Phyllis Gonzales, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 66. She was born in La Junta on January 9, 1959, to Eloyina and Chris Gonzales.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Erica (Christopher) Abernathy of Colorado Springs, her granddaughter Brielle Abernathy, and her brother Michael Gonzales. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her son Joseph Ponce, and her brothers Ronald and Richard Gonzales.

A devoted animal lover, Phyllis found joy in caring for her cats and dogs, who held a special place in her heart. She treasured time spent with loved ones. Her passion for gardening was well know with a home with beautiful plants and flowers. She always spoke fondly of her parents. Above all, Phyllis adored her children and especially her granddaughter. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Services Held on December 17, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe St. Patrick's Parish in La Junta, Colorado.
