La Junta Police Make Arrest for Eluding, Revoked License, DUID, Fentanyl, and Drug Paraphernalia Charges After Pursuit

La Junta Police Arrest Driver After Vehicle Pursuit, Fentanyl Discovered
On January 5, 2026, at approximately 4:06 PM, officers from the La Junta Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a black 2009 Lexus at the intersection of Highway 50 and Santa Fe Avenue. The driver of the Lexus failed to stop for the officers' emergency lights and sirens, resulting in a vehicle pursuit. The vehicle eventually came to a stop in the 1500 block of Daniels Avenue.
The driver was identified as Faith Sisneros, who had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. A search of the black 2009 Lexus revealed multiple items of drug paraphernalia, an open container of alcohol, and fentanyl.
Sisneros was charged with the following offenses:
- C.R.S. 42-4-1301: Driving a Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs
- C.R.S. 42-4-1413: Eluding a Police Officer
- C.R.S. 18-18-403.5: Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance
- C.R.S. 42-2-138: Driving a Motor Vehicle with a Revoked License
-C.R.S. 42-3-121: Displaying a Fictitious Year Tab
-C.R.S. 42-4-1305: Possession of an Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle
Three of the four occupants in the vehicle were detained and subsequently released.
All Parties Considered Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law.
