Search Warrants Lead to Five Arrests, Fentanyl Seizure in Bent County
On February 11, 2026, at approximately 1140 hours, deputies executed search warrants in the 800 block of 6th Street and the 1900 block of West 6th Street. These warrants were served in an attempt to locate property reported stolen earlier in the week.
During the execution of the warrants, several items of stolen property were recovered. Additionally, deputies located numerous items of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances that tested positive for Fentanyl.
Five parties were taken into custody and transported to the Bent County Jail:

Yuri Witucki (DOB: 03/07/1967)
• CRS 18-6-401(1)(a): Child Abuse
• CRS 18-8-105(2)(a): Accessory to a Crime/Harboring a Fugitive (3 Counts)

David Apodaca (DOB: 05/08/1984)
• CRS 18-6-803.1: Violation of a Protection Order

Shante Eck (DOB: 12/07/1993)
• Outstanding Warrant (Otero County)

Charles Shupe (DOB: 05/06/1990)
• Outstanding Warrant (Bent County)

Charles Valencia (DOB: 03/09/1995)
• Outstanding Warrant (Otero County)
All Parties Considered Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law.
