Fatal Crash on Highway 119 Closes S Airport Road

(Boulder County, COLO) – Early this morning, April 24, 2026, at approximately 4:31 a.m., the Colorado State Patrol responded to the area of Highway 119 westbound at milepost 52, near S. Airport Rd, west of Longmont, for a single-vehicle crash.

Preliminary investigation information shows that a Honda CR-V was traveling southbound on Highway 119 when it collided with a concrete barrier. The single occupant, the driver, of the CR-V was transported to an area hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.

Currently, the westbound lane on S Airport Rd is closed for a crash investigation, and there is no estimated reopening time. Check COTrip.org for the most up-to-date information on road closures.
