New Hunt Regs App Helps Public Report Wildlife Violations and Poaching
Wildlife violations not only break the law—they take valuable resources and opportunities away from law-abiding citizens. To help combat this issue, officials have partnered with Hunt Regs to offer a new and convenient way for the public to report violations.
Through this partnership, individuals can now use the Hunt Regs app to quickly and easily report suspected poaching or other wildlife-related offenses. The app is free to download, and users simply need to create a login to get started.
If a violation is observed in the field, users can navigate to the “poaching” icon located in the bottom right corner of the app and fill out the necessary information to submit a report.
Officials hope this new tool will encourage more public involvement in protecting wildlife and lead to an increase in reported violations. Reports can be made anonymously, and in some cases, individuals may be eligible for a reward.
This initiative aims to strengthen conservation efforts and ensure that wildlife resources are preserved for responsible and lawful use.
