Terry Menges plans to return for the celebration of veterans at Anthem, Arizona on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Route 66. He’s going on Veterans Day, November 11. There are many activities planned for this summer. The Great Race will take place on Route 66 also this summer, so Jimmy Martinez and Terry are working on trips to avoid the dates of the race.

Sugar City car show is tentatively scheduled for a Saturday in October. The shows that are listed at the top of this newsletter were reviewed.
Jimmy volunteered refreshments for the May Meeting. Wayne asked that unpaid dues be paid. Birthdays and anniversaries were recognized.
Terry asked if we could do something fun with our old cars like a cruise night. We will meet at the La Junta City Park at 7:00 p.m. to cruise in our old cars to Rocky Ford Sonic.
New member, Michael Rabenseifner, was introduced. A treasurer’s report was given. Wayne had the Christmas pictures available for pick-up. If you are still interested, you can give your order to Wayne. Big pictures are $15.00. Jimmy spoke to the Otero Museum’s fund raiser, April 24. Wine tasting tickets are $35 apiece.
